Small-Batch Custom Heavy-Duty Cable Reels for Our South American Customers
We’re happy to share another customized cable reel project successfully completed for our customers in South America!
The project required heavy-duty SJTW cable, extra-long cable lengths and thicker conductors. Because of the special specifications and relatively small order quantity, our customers had contacted several suppliers—but many factories were unable or unwilling to produce it.
At ALUX Electric, we understand that not every market starts with a large-volume order. After reviewing the requirements carefully, we worked with our production partners to turn the requested specifications into a practical and reliable solution.
Customized for Real Market Needs
This small-batch order included:
- Heavy-duty SJTW flexible cable
- 30 m and 50 m cable lengths
- 10 AWG and 12 AWG conductor options
- Four integrated electrical outlets
- Portable steel cable reel frames
- Customized colors, labels and packaging
- Electrical testing before shipment
Long and heavy-gauge cables place greater weight and mechanical stress on the reel. Therefore, the reel capacity, frame strength, internal connections and winding process all needed special attention.
Carefully Followed Through Every Production Stage
From cable production to final assembly, we followed each stage closely:
- Copper conductor and cable production
- Insulation and SJTW jacket processing
- Plug and socket preparation
- Internal wiring and terminal connection
- Cable reel assembly
- Manual cable winding
- Continuity and electrical-function testing
- Final inspection, labeling and packaging
Before shipment, each cable reel was powered on and tested to confirm correct electrical operation. We also checked the cable length, conductor specifications, outlet configuration, reel operation and overall appearance.
The SJTW cable used for this project is ETL Listed, providing additional confidence in cable quality and compliance.
