The ALX-FN-313S-2 is a handheld industrial socket box: a slim, light enclosure with a small group of protected sockets, made to be carried to the job and hung or set down within reach of the workpiece. It is the box version of the tool-belt extension lead - one supply in, a few sealed sockets out.
